So, if you are a regular you may notice a bunch of blogs missing. It has come to my attention that others have been using my blog and my artwork to “teach” others.
I spent countless hours distracted from my family to create examples of artwork step by step. I viewed it as a ministry to my students and a chance to share my love for art with youth. While I did earn some money from teaching, it would have been pennies compared to the time it took, and the supplies I invested in.
To have others who are getting paid to teach, use my work hurts. As they never asked to do so. It costs me money to maintain this website, and as I am not making an income from art at all at this time, I view this as robbery. If you want to teach, invest in your own artwork, or ask the artist and offer compensation for their time.
It’s a sad world when people do stuff like this, especially when they claim to appreciate and admire the artist. It’s heartbreaking I had to post this on my website. “Et tu Bruté?”
