Today, I planned on getting a relatively early start and possibly finished the mural. However, that didn’t go as planned. I ended up not getting to it until after lunch.
Since I didn’t start until after lunch, I started on doing some touch ups while waiting to see if it was going to storm like it had been threatening.
Once it was less likely to storm… I finally braved the ladder to get the letters sketched out. Most of you don’t know this… I HATE ladders!
I am happy to say the letters are up! I just have touch ups and then to finish the woman’s face at the top left. Worst part about today’s work… it wasn’t the heat, the threat of rain, or even climbing up and down the ladder countless times. It was realizing I will have to climb an even taller ladder to completely finish this job.
The bright side… not only is it almost done, but I love how it is turning out. It is a daunting feeling taking a sketch that fits on a 8×11 piece of paper and fitting it on the side of a building!
